Often called Custom Light, the EXP26 strings are an original hybrid class proposed by D'Addario. They represent a satisfactory compromise for players who are looking for depth and projection of low caliber bass strings while having a smaller voltage high strings for easier bends.

The string D'Addario EXP coating is now available in NY Steel. Invented, perfected and manufactured by D'Addario in New York, this new alloy high carbon steel delivers resistance to breakage and a stability agreement ever. The strings are coated with a high quality material for a sensation similar to an untreated game but with a lifetime four times longer and better tuning stability.

Strings D'Addario Phosphor Bronze in are known for their superb sound and sustainable as well as their comfort game. EXP coated with phosphor bronze for a warm sound, bright and balanced, with a lifespan 4 times higher. A phosphor bronze with a tin content of 5%, gives good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
EXP: a coating 50% thinner and more concentrated than before, while maintaining the maintenance of the same and the same gloss as a coating without play. The steel strings have been strengthened and are 4 times more resistant to corrosion by tinning of the rope, allowing a reinforcement against breakage and extreme durability.
