Dangerous Music's 2-BUS + is a 16-channel summing unit in a 2U rack with XLR and D-Sub input connectors. It offers 3 distinct and independent analogue colourings: Harmonics, Paralimit and X-Former. Harmonics is a parallel-tuned harmonic distortion generator operated by a rotary knob; Paralimit is a FET limiter set to maximum position, also in parallel mode; and X-Former inserts a pair of custom transformers into the stereo mix and features saturation control.

Many analogue processors - from delays and reverbs to equalisers, compressors and more - have been beautifully modelled in the digital domain, but analogue summation remains impossible to emulate digitally.
Sonovente's technicians have all experienced the frustration of a mix falling apart while relying on a single digital master fader to manage it all. The medium piles up, the panning becomes blurred, the reverbs lose their dimension, and soon the mix loses its appeal.
And despite what you may read here and there, analogue mix bus emulation plugins simply add distortion to the master fader, exacerbating the problems.
By adding individual tracks or sub-groups of tracks (often called 'stems') with 2-BUS+, you get a crystal-clear sound image and a wide-open soundstage. Whatever the number of tracks, all your audio recordings, software instruments, samplers, effects and plug-ins will sing with the detail, punch and clarity that only a true analogue summing device can deliver.
