The Denis Wick 5880E-SM3UH mouthpiece represents a major evolution in the Steven Mead Ultra range.
Its 26.4 mm bowl diameter promotes fullness and stability of sound. The bowl shape combines the advantages of a funnel and bowl profile to produce a classic euphonium or baritone sound. The 6.3 mm thick rim ensures comfort and endurance during long playing sessions. The contour of the rim and its inner edge have been reworked to improve attack precision.
The 7.2 mm grain provides optimised airflow and a smooth release. The V-type tail has been modified to offer greater projection and presence. The increased external mass enhances the power and diffusion of the sound throughout. The wide neck ensures ideal compatibility with wide-bore euphoniums.
This mouthpiece offers a perfect balance between richness, support in the upper register and ease of articulation.
