The 26.40 mm bowl diameter maintains a good sound base. The shallower bowl makes it easier to move up into the upper register. The 6.3 mm thick rim, with a more rounded contour, provides real comfort for the lips. The 7.45 mm grain ensures an immediate and precise response.
The wide V-shaped tail stabilises the air column and centres the timbre. The greater external mass increases projection. Work on the bore and the reduction in depth energise the midrange register. The sound remains clear, open and well sustained throughout the tessitura.
