The Denis Wick 6181 Booster transforms a conventional mouthpiece into a Heavy Top model. The extra weight enhances projection, concentrates the sound and stabilises the upper register.

The Denis Wick 6181 Booster is designed to give trumpet players more power and control.
By adding mass to the mouthpiece, it transmits more energy to the instrument and bell. This results in a more centred sound and better accuracy in the higher registers. Projection is enhanced and the timbre gains in depth, even at high volume. The sound becomes denser and more stable, with a more pronounced sonic core.
The booster is particularly useful in large halls or for concerts requiring maximum volume. It can also be removed for lighter playing, for example in chamber music or intimate jazz. The accessory allows you to adapt the colour and behaviour of the sound to suit the situation.
Some musicians use it to avoid a sound that is too bright or dispersed. The booster offers extra flexibility and a more varied sound palette for all playing situations.
