Vincent Bach, born Schrotenbach in Vienna in 1890, although a graduate engineer, successfully turns to a career as a musician. The arrival of the First World War forced him to emigrate to the United States, he arrived in New York with $ 5.00 in his pocket, he managed to enter the Boston Symphony Orchestra and then at the Metropolitan Opera.
Having found great difficulty in finding a mouthpiece, to replace the one which a repairman had damaged, in the middle of the tour, he started in 1918 in the production of mouthpieces. The company grew rapidly and in 1924 the first trumpets were manufactured.
