He first came to prominence with James Brown in the 70s, before joining George Clinton and his Parliament-Funkadelic collective. His unique playing, marked by powerful lines and daring effects, has transformed the bass into a leading instrument. Recognisable by his star-spangled glasses and flamboyant costumes, Bootsy is a true groove icon. His style has inspired generations of musicians, from hip-hop to rock, and his influence continues to this day.
