Drawmer - MC1.1 Monitor Pre-Amp
The Drawmer MC1.1 is a compact preamp and monitor controller designed to facilitate precise monitoring with great ease in environments where multiple sources and speaker systems coexist. Its understated design provides a clear interface, where each control is intuitively positioned. Thanks to its transparent, ultra-low-noise circuitry, it faithfully preserves the details of the audio signal. This monitor controller also features a phono input, bridging the gap between modern music production and a passion for vinyl.
Presentation
Its ultra-low-noise audio architecture minimises signal distortion to ensure natural sound reproduction. This gives you a tool capable of driving active speakers or headphones with a straightforward approach, without the need for unnecessary adjustments. Its discreet design fits easily onto a desk, like a small conductor who prefers tidy cables to grand speeches.
The front panel of the MC1.1 has been designed for quick operation, thanks to its two independent volume controls dedicated to the main outputs and headphones. Each control uses a customised parallel quad potentiometer, offering excellent balance between the left and right channels as well as a smooth feel when making adjustments.
Separate selectors for inputs and outputs simplify switching between different audio sources. With its balanced XLR inputs, ∅3.5 mm TRS mini-jack auxiliary input with level control, and dedicated line connection, this preamp easily accommodates a range of everyday audio devices.
An interesting feature of the Drawmer MC1.1 is its integrated RIAA MM phono preamp stage, designed to connect a turntable directly to the audio system. This function allows you to enjoy your record collection with playback optimised for moving-magnet cartridges.
The unit thus becomes a versatile interface, bringing together digital and analogue sources in a single setup. A smartphone, MP3 player, CD player or turntable can all be integrated into this configuration. Music then flows from a variety of sound sources, bridging the gap between vintage recordings and contemporary productions.
The MC1.1 is built around an all-metal chassis designed to withstand repeated use in the studio or at home. Its time-delay relay protection system reduces unwanted noise during power-up and power-down, thereby protecting the connected equipment. A dedicated headphone amplifier completes the package with an output accessible directly on the front panel.
