Dunlop FBHYN45105 Frank Bello Hybrid Wound Nickel & Steel 45-105 strings are designed for bassists looking for power and precision. Developed with Anthrax bassist Frank Bello, they reflect the demands of modern thrash metal.
This hybrid set combines 2 complementary designs to optimise the sound. The 105 and 85 tie rods come from the Dual Dynamic Hybrid Nickel Wound range. They combine a nickel outer thread with a steel inner structure to enhance bass definition. The result is a tight, articulate and punchy low end.
The 65 and 45 strings are from the Standard Nickel Wound series. They provide roundness, thickness and musicality in the midrange and treble. This combination ensures even balance throughout the length of the neck. Fast attacks remain clear and legible, even in the lowest registers.
The strings respond perfectly to aggressive pick and finger techniques. The 45-105 drawbar is ideal for long-scale 4-string basses. The feel under the fingers remains comfortable while retaining excellent tuning. This signature set offers a dense, energetic and precise sound, ready to support the most powerful grooves!
