Elipson's Planet L Performance Mineral Blue is first and foremost an object that catches the eye even before it plays a single note. Its matt mineral blue hue, both soothing and modern, blends elegantly with contemporary interiors, whether sleek, designer or more eclectic. But this sober, refined finish only hints at the richness of what's hidden inside.
On the technical side, this two-way loudspeaker adopts a coaxial driver with a revisited design, combining a 165 mm treated cellulose pulp bass-midrange and a 25 mm silk dome tweeter, driven by a neodymium magnet.
Beneath its compact size and emblematic spherical silhouette, Planet L Performance hides a precision mechanism. Thanks to its DAR (Double Asymmetric Rubber) suspension, it absorbs vibrations perfectly, even at high volume, for controlled dynamics and a frequency response down to 46 Hz, enough to thrill a living room of 20 to 40 m² without the need for a subwoofer.
Compared with the first-generation Planet L, this 'Performance' version takes all the technical features one step further. Better decoupling, optimised crossover components, more natural spatial rendering... You can feel the difference immediately in demanding listening situations: voices gain in relief, instruments stand out in space, bass is tighter.
