Guitar Explorer

Epiphone's Explorer Futura Custom guitar has an angular silhouette that immediately catches the eye thanks to its Dragonfly Shift finish, and accompanies every riff with character. Designed for the stage, it radiates modern energy thanks to its changing finish and bold lines. With a mix of edgy playing and nuanced textures, this instrument is at home in a wide range of musical contexts, from studio to rehearsal, with a visual and sonic personality that naturally attracts attention.

The mahogany body, combined with the Tune O Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece limed by Epiphone for this Explorer Custom, ensures generous sustain and stable tuning over time. So you can go from rehearsal to concert without worrying about unexpected variations.

In terms of sound, the Futura series instruments are fitted with ProBucker Ignite pickups, which provide a broad, accurate spectrum that's perfect for a wide range of musical styles. Push-pull potentiometers can be used to activate a coil split or phase inversion to vary the textures, as if you were changing instruments.

The ebony fingerboard with 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets provides a clean, long-lasting feel under the fingers, for consistently accurate playing. Super 400-style inlays add an effective visual cue along the entire length of the scale.

You'll quickly feel a fluid grip thanks to the glued mahogany neck with Modern C profile, which facilitates rapid movement without visible effort. The 254 to 356 mm compound radius accompanies chords and bends with seamless ease.

The Grover Mini Rotomatic locking action built into this Epiphone Futura Explorer Custom Dragonfly Shift ensures fast, reliable adjustments, even after several energetic tunes. The Graph Tech saddle also contributes to overall stability during tension changes.
