Slash (Saul Hudson) was born on 23 July 1965 in Hampstead, London, to an American mother and a British father. He grew up in Los Angeles and took up the guitar at an early age, influenced by rock and blues. He became famous as lead guitarist of Guns N' Roses, where his iconic riff on "Sweet Child O' Mine" propelled him to legendary status.
In 1991, he founded Slash's Snakepit, then joined Velvet Revolver in 2002, alongside former members of Guns N' Roses. He also has a solo career, collaborating with numerous artists. Slash is renowned for his top hat, his powerful solos and his unique style, blending virtuosity and emotion.
