Presentation
Look at that asymmetrical shape, the ESP E-II Maverick Gun Metallic Black doesn't sit like any other electric guitar. Its alder body and glued maple neck create a unique centre of gravity, naturally anchored against your chest. This ergonomic design allows you to focus all your attention on the music, not the instrument. The Gun Metallic Black satin finish is discreet and professional, absorbing the light from the spotlights without ever dazzling.
Let's move on to the ebony fingerboard. Twenty-seven frets. This is an extraordinary number, opening up upper octaves that are often inaccessible. Imagine a solo that soars higher, natural harmonics that resonate in a new zone. The Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets are built to last, their polish resisting years of slippage. The 305 mm radius and Thin U profile of the neck accommodate both chords and extreme bends.
The electronics are still advantageous. The Seymour Duncan Custom-5 bridge spits out a meaty lead sound, with a punchy midrange that cuts through the mix. A simple pull of the tone knob turns it into a single-coil pickup, with a clear snap that's perfect for funky rhythms. On the neck, Cool Rails produce a round, defined sound, free from the hum of conventional single-coils. It's absolute clarity.
This ESP E-II comes ready to play: strap locks, custom hard case and Gotoh locking tuners. The Floyd Rose Original system is factory-tuned. You can plunge into acoustic abysses and return to standard tuning, note for note. A rigour that inspires confidence, both on stage and during a recording session!
