T Style Guitar
A year after the Broadcaster was released, Fender received a cease and desist telegram from Fred Gretsch Mfg. Co. and had to rename its flagship electric guitar. So in late 1951 came the Telecaster. The American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster carried over the key features of that model: ash body, Butterscotch Blonde finish, high vintage frets, 7.25" radius, and Pure Vintage 51 pickups for classic twang and authentic Fender style!

Presentation
The Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster Butterscotch Blonde is a faithful tribute to one of Fender's most iconic models, marking the origin of the legendary Telecaster. Part of the American Vintage II series, this guitar accurately replicates the revolutionary features of the original 1951 model, capturing the essence of the sound and design that changed music history.
This Telecaster features an ash body, a wood known for its warm, balanced resonance, delivering tight mids, clear lows, and bright highs.
The Butterscotch Blonde nitrocellulose finish highlights the natural grain of the wood, while allowing the guitar to open up over time, improving its resonance and tone.
The 1951 "U"-shaped solid maple neck with a 7.25-inch radius fingerboard offers an authentic feel that is true to the original instruments of that era. This thicker neck profile provides a sturdy grip, especially appreciated by players seeking vintage playing comfort.
Vintage tall frets provide smooth, comfortable playability, making bending easier without compromising note clarity.
Pure Vintage '51 Telecaster pickups are configured to reproduce the legendary tone of the original model with meticulous precision. Crafted with the same materials as in the '50s, including composite fiber bobbins and Alnico magnets, these pickups produce a classic tone full of twang, delivering the clear, punchy tone that the Telecaster is known for.
The vintage three-saddle brass bridge, combined with Fender Deluxe Pure Vintage tuners, completes the authenticity of this reissue. Every component of the hardware is manufactured using the same methods and machinery used in the '50s, ensuring historical accuracy.
The Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster Butterscotch Blonde is a true journey through time, designed for passionate vintage musicians and collectors who want to rediscover the sound, look and feel of early Telecasters.
