ST Style Guitar

The Stratocaster RW Faded Sherwood Green Metallic from the new Fender American Professional Classic series combines vintage heritage with modern adaptation. This solid-body alder electric guitar pays homage to Strat standards while adapting to modern playing, in a colour with subtle retro charm. Its screwed maple neck with Modern "C" profile and rosewood fingerboard ensure fluidity and comfort throughout the entire length of the 648 mm scale. It features an SSS Coastline '57 Stratocaster pickup configuration, designed to deliver warmth and clarity with a hint of bite. Fender ClassicGear Staggered tuners and a Vintage-style six-screw bridge complete a design that's built for both stage and studio. A Strat that knows its classics, but has no intention of droning on.

You may have already laid your hands on a Strat, but not this one. The Fender American Professional Classic Stratocaster RW Faded Sherwood Green Metallic doesn't try to impress with glitter, it prefers to shine through its luthiery accuracy. Its alder body, combined with Coastline '57 pickups, was already delivering harmonics full of attack and roundness, long before your amp had finished warming up.

The moment your fingers touch the rosewood fingerboard with its 241 mm radius, the Modern 'C' neck makes you forget all about the effort. It's as if this Strat had slipped under your fingers overnight. With its 22 medium jumbo frets, you can string together bends without grumbling about the action, and the standard truss rod keeps it all in line. From slamming funk to more lyrical solos, the feel remains constant, as if whispering "let me do the work, you'll like it". And given the ergonomics, it's hard not to give in.

The Greasebucket Tone System is a bit like the ninja of tone circuits. It infiltrates and cleans out aggressive highs, but without messing with your bass. As a result, you can fine-tune without destroying your grain. At the same time, the 5-position selector lets you juggle between crystal clarity and vintage crispness. Add to that the deliberately aged knobs and selector, and you've got a Strat that doesn't need to raise its voice to command respect.

In a world of glow-in-the-dark buttons and overly satin sleeves, this Strat takes on its Faded Sherwood Green Metallic finish with elegant phlegm. The glossy polyurethane varnish catches the light like a discreet wink. The ClassicGear Staggered tuners ensure rigorous tuning without showing off. A well-mannered guitar, but not too wise.

For a duet without false notes, consider a compression pedal or a vintage overdrive. It will also appreciate a tube amp to let its biting midrange resonate. For maintenance, a microfibre cloth and a touch of lemon oil on the rosewood will be enough to prolong its eternal youth.

A gig bag is included, but if you're aiming for crowded rooms or chaotic transport, a hard case may be more reassuring.

Top it off with a comfortable leather strap, a few well-chosen picks, and why not a wall-mounted stand - so you can keep an eye on it, even when you're not playing (yes, it likes to be watched).
