The Fender American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline Candy Apple Red is a faithful reissue of an iconic model that marked the history of the 70s. Designed to replicate the spirit and sound of the second-generation Telecaster Thinline, it combines a semi-hollow ash body with a Candy Apple Red gloss polyurethane finish, offering lightness, resonance and a distinctive aesthetic.
The one-piece maple neck with 1972 C-profile, combined with a maple fingerboard with a 7.25" radius, provides a smooth, comfortable playing feel. The 21 vintage tall frets add to the classic experience, while the bone saddle ensures optimum vibration transmission. The CBS-style headstock with "Bullet" truss rod and Micro-Tilt™ 3-screw plate reflects the distinctive features of models from this era.
Beneath the pearlescent, four-ply pickguard, two Authentic CuNiFe Wide-Range Humbucking pickups deliver a powerful and versatile sonic palette, suitable for both rhythmics and solos. The three-position selector makes it easy to switch between a variety of sounds.
