T Style Guitar

The Vintera II Road Worn '60s Telecaster MN Blonde from Fender is a bold reissue of a classic with a familiar silhouette. Made in Mexico, this solid-body alder electric guitar combines a Road Worn nitrocellulose finish, a maple neck with a '60s C-profile and a fingerboard with a vintage 7.25" radius. The electronics include 2 Vintage-Style '60s single-coil pickups, linked to a 3-position selector switch, for that famous sharp twang typical of Fender Telecasters. The three-bridge steel bridge, synthetic bone saddle and vintage tuners add the finishing touches to a resolutely retro configuration, designed to recreate the feel of an instrument with the patina of time. Designed for guitarists who love the feel of the past, this Telecaster promises inspired playing and an assertive sonic presence on stage, in the studio or at home.

Anyone who has ever held a Fender Vintera II Road Worn '60s Telecaster MN Blonde will know just how much its maple neck with its 60s 'C' profile can make you forget the passage of time. Quite thin near the nut and a little firmer through the frets, it follows the hand naturally, without resistance or capriciousness. Thanks to its old-fashioned nitrocellulose varnish, the feel is direct, as if the instrument has always known you. It's not you who learns to tame it, it trusts you.

The pair of single-coil Vintage-Style '60s pickups built into this Vintera II Road Worn Telecaster deliver a sound that doesn't pretend. The characteristic twang of the Tele model, that slap that's a little metallic and always sharp, is served up here with all the clarity you'd expect from a Fender instrument. The mids are consistent, the lows firm and the highs never lack bite. Passed between inspired fingers, it can bite, purr or sing in its own way. It's all managed by a 3-position selector, master volume and tone, with no detours or unnecessary complications. If you like it to respond at the drop of a hat, all you have to do is scratch.

This Vintera II Road Worn '60s Telecaster in Blonde not only looks vintage, it feels vintage too. The vintage 3-bridge steel bridge, 60s-style oil bath tuners and nickel/chrome hardware ensure reliable stability. It doesn't balk at a good string pull, doesn't budge an iota when you insist, and stays in tune even after sweaty solos. In short, it's ready to grow old by your side - except that it's already begun.

Now Fender offers you the chance to step back in time without sacrificing modern comfort. This Vintera II Road Worn '60s Telecaster MN Blonde has been designed to evoke an instrument that would have spent decades on stage. The simulated wear marks, the aged varnish, the vintage-style pickups - everything has been designed to bring back memories of a time without YouTube, but with plenty of spring reverb. And what about tomorrow? Tomorrow, you could very well be starting your next project, recording your album or waking up the upstairs neighbours with this guitar in your hands. The rest is up to you.

To complement this Fender Vintera II Telecaster, if you're keen on the idea of twang, a small Princeton-style tube amp or Deluxe Reverb will do the trick. A good guitar preamp with speaker simulator could also bring out the raw character of this Tele.

You could also take a look at vintage-style overdrive pedals. And why not add a little looper? So you can build your tracks live and not leave the Tele on its own for too long.
