Focal Bathys MG headphones represent wireless audio excellence, incorporating advanced technologies for an immersive listening experience.

Exceptional Sound Quality At the heart of its performance, the Bathys MG incorporates exclusive 40mm Magnesium "M" profile dome drivers, which Focal manufactures in its workshops in France. This material offers remarkable lightness and a high damping factor, which translates into great dynamics and detail across the entire sound spectrum. The headphones deliver a neutral, balanced soundstage, with punchy bass and crystal-clear treble. Its frequency response extends from 10 Hz to 22 kHz, with a harmonic distortion rate of less than 0.2% at 1 kHz. For enhanced performance, the USB-DAC mode delivers high-resolution sound at up to 24 bits/192 kHz, minimising audio compression. The headphones handle PCM audio formats up to 24 bits/192 kHz in USB mode.

Active Noise Reduction and Clear Communication The Bathys MG incorporates active noise reduction (ANC) technology optimised by 8 microphones. Three modes allow you to adapt the noise reduction to your environment:
- Silent: optimal for very noisy environments, such as on a plane.
- Soft: offers slight attenuation in less noisy environments, such as the office or home.
- Transparent: for clear conversation without having to remove the headset. In addition, two dedicated microphones use Clear Voice Capture technology to ensure crystal-clear phone calls.

Remarkable Connectivity and Autonomy This mobile headset uses Bluetooth® 5.2 Multipoint technology, which facilitates effortless connection and allows you to connect to two devices simultaneously while pairing up to 8. The Multipoint system automatically switches between paired devices. It supports AAC, aptX™, aptX™ Adaptive and SBC codecs, with the headphones automatically selecting the best codec available. Adaptive aptX™ offers low latency, useful for video gaming. Bluetooth® range exceeds 15 metres in open field.

The Bathys MG's battery life is impressive:
- 30 hours in Bluetooth® mode with active noise reduction.
- 35 hours in Jack mode. Note that Jack mode requires battery power because of active amplification.
- 42 hours in USB-DAC mode. The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 1060 mAH. A full charge takes around 1.5 hours with a good charger (2A). A 15-minute quick charge provides an additional 5 hours of listening time.

Comfort and Premium Design The Bathys MG weighs 350 grams, making it light and comfortable to wear. Its refined design is inspired by the Chestnut finish of Focal's Clear MG headphones, a benchmark hi-fi headphone. The Focal logo is backlit, a function that can be set or switched off via the app. It uses premium materials: aluminium and magnesium on the yoke make it light and robust. The genuine leather headband and ergonomic foam earpads provide exceptional comfort for extended listening, and the earpads are easily replaceable.

Focal & Naim App and Advanced Features The dedicated Focal & Naim app, available on iOS and Android, allows total and personalised control of the headphones. It offers:
- A 5-band equalizer with two preset modes (Home and Loudness) and the possibility of creating a custom equalizer. The settings are stored in the headphones and work in all modes (Bluetooth®, USB-DAC and Mini-Jack).
- A Mimi Hearing test to adapt the sound to your hearing profile, with settings remaining active even in Jack or DAC modes.
- Management of active noise reduction modes.
- Control the intensity or extinction of the logo backlighting.
- Choice of voice assistant: Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or the phone's local assistant.
- Precise display of remaining battery level.
- The ability to update the headset firmware. The headset also supports Google Fast Pair for quick pairing.
