Folk Electro Acoustic Guitar
The Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood stands out with its rounded shoulders and straightforward temperament. Its solid Sitka spruce top retains the balance and projection for which it has been renowned since 1942. Its dreadnought format, at ease in all registers, has been given a rosewood back and sides, providing a more generous bass and richer harmonics. Whether plugged in or played acoustically, it unleashes its full potential thanks to the L.R. Baggs VTC system discreetly integrated into the soundhole. A real workhorse... who also likes to take breaks in the studio. The J-45 Standard Rosewood comes in a hard case, ready to make its voice heard in your daily music life.

Presentation
What makes the Gibson J-45 Standard Rosewood so immediately appealing is the subtle blend of deep-rooted tradition and discreet but effective adjustments.
The rosewood, used here on the sides and back, gives the beast a bit more body - without turning it into a walking bass.
The dreadnought format with rounded shoulders, typical of the series, remains comfortable in the arms and responsive under the fingers, whether you prefer contemplative arpeggios or hungry cowboy rhythms.
In the hands, the mahogany neck with its SlimTaper profile (a well-disguised D) glides under the fingers with almost suspicious ease. The short 628.65 mm scale accentuates this feeling of comfort, making it easier to play without sacrificing string tension.
The Indian rosewood fingerboard houses 20 well-aligned frets, ready to sing at the slightest touch. The Reverse Belly bridge stabilises all this, with its Tusq nut that leaves nothing to chance.
Even the gold-plated Grover tuners do their bit in style.
Plugged in, the J-45 Standard Rosewood keeps its cool. The almost invisible L.R. Baggs VTC system brings out the acoustic character of the model without artificial glitz. The volume and tone controls are hidden away in the rosette, so there's no need to fiddle with them.
And for stage enthusiasts, the ∅6.35 mm jack output slips right in where it's needed.
And the hard case supplied? It's just as resistant to hazardous transport as it is to inquisitive cats.

To find out more...
Nicknamed "The Workhorse" since its creation in 1942, the J-45 was conceived as a solid, simple, singing workhorse.
It has passed through the decades in the hands of Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, without ever losing its sonic identity.
And if you like to tune your guitars just right, a clip-on tuner or chromatic pedal will be your favourite companion.
Using Light strings in 012-053, like those originally fitted, it will retain the subtle balance between supple playability and sonic projection.
If you want to further enhance its amplified possibilities, a small external preamp with equaliser will help to refine your sound.
