Godin - A4 Ultra Natural Fretless A/E

The Godin A4 Ultra Natural Fretless semi-acoustic bass has been designed for bassists looking to move beyond traditional sounds. Its two-chamber body, crafted from Canadian Laurentian maple and paired with a solid spruce top, promotes natural and balanced resonance. The fretless Richlite fingerboard allows you to work on nuances with precision and achieve particularly smooth glissandos. The hard maple neck provides a pleasant, stable feel under the hand. Its 34" scale length retains the familiar dimensions for electric bassists. The 38.1 mm nut width ensures a quick and comfortable grip. An integrated ramp on the top also aids the positioning of the right hand whilst playing.

The LR Baggs pickups positioned at the bridge produce a detailed and organic acoustic sound. The Lace Sensor magnetic pickup adds more attack and presence when you’re looking for a more modern response. You can use each source independently or blend them to achieve the desired result. This combination allows you to switch easily between registers without changing instruments.

The LR Baggs electronics developed for this model provide controls for volume, bass, midrange and treble. A saturation control allows you to add more warmth and harmonics to the signal. The Fat Switch boosts the low-mid frequencies to give your sound more body. The two outputs allow you to send the signals to separate amplifiers or to a mixed output, depending on your setup.
