With the TYPE 20 A-CORE, HEDD is extending its A-CORE series into a more ambitious 3-channel format, designed for professional studios, mixing rooms and listening environments where analogue precision is an absolute priority.

This left-hand version adopts the A-CORE philosophy in its most accomplished form: no DSP, no digital conversion, no software, just an analogue signal path controlled from start to finish.

The design is based on the same top-quality components used in the brand's MK2 monitors and Tower Mains systems. The AMT Air Motion Transformer tweeter, hand-built in Berlin, ensures extremely rapid reproduction of transients and very wide high-frequency extension, without harshness or compression.

The midrange and bass registers are handled by two proprietary 7-inch and 4-inch Honeycomb composite drivers, chosen for their rigidity, precision and ability to maintain excellent readability at high levels.

The active 3-way architecture is controlled by a fully analogue filter card, designed to guarantee natural phase coherence and a stable stereo image. The amplification is provided by three ICEpower modules, each rated at 300 watts, offering comfortable dynamic reserve, low distortion and high efficiency, even over long sessions at sustained levels.

Designed for simple, straightforward integration, the TYPE 20 A-CORE features full XLR, TRS and RCA analogue inputs, plus a full-range bass and treble equaliser to adapt the speaker to the room acoustics without altering its sonic signature.

Its low latency and total absence of digital processing make it a reliable tool for mixing, mastering and immersive set-ups, including Atmos. Each loudspeaker is individually tested before shipping and assembled in Berlin, with a five-year manufacturer's warranty after recording.
