Presentation
Hiwatt presents the Park P50RH Rock Head, which continues the legacy of the legendary Rock Heads of the 1970s by offering a balance between clarity and saturation. This tube head, equipped with two EL34 power units and three 12AX7 preamps, delivers sparkling clean tones and richly nuanced overdrives, from subtle bluesy tones to classic rock crunch. Its vintage-inspired circuitry, optimised by Mitch Colby, allows independent level control of each channel, for a perfect balance between clean and overdrive.
The OD channel is particularly versatile. Unlike most amps with a saturated channel, it can be used as a warm second clean channel or to produce a wide range of overdrives, simply by adjusting the Gain and Master controls.
The clean channel has a Bright switch, while the OD channel offers Mellow and Aggressive options, allowing you to tailor the sound to your style, whether it's a mellow blues, a vintage 1980s crunch or a more biting lead. The amp retains its full musicality at any volume, making it ideal for both studio and stage.
The P50RH head is also designed for easy integration into your setup. The transparent, fully bypassable external effects loop lets you add your favourite pedals without altering the amp's natural sound.
Parallel speaker outputs are selectable as 4, 8 or 16 Ω, and a footswitch gives you access to the channels without leaving your guitar. With its compact dimensions and 16.3 kg weight, it's easy to transport despite its power and assertive sound character.
The PrePIMV and PPIMV give you fine control over gain and volume, so you can get crunch at low volume or push the amp to its maximum for a more saturated sound. Ergonomics are simple and intuitive, with clear controls for volume, gain and EQ, while retaining the vintage character and personality of the brand.
The P50RH Rock Head is for guitarists looking for a versatile, expressive head that's true to the spirit of Plexi Park.

Jim Marshall is best known for running a shop where local musicians could meet, swap and try out equipment. He sold his amps worldwide under the Marshall brand, but in the UK he used the name Park Amplifiers. The shop served as a valuable testing ground for new products and kept Jim in touch with the exploding UK music scene. Park amps, often described as 'a bit hotter', are highly sought after in the UK as they are much rarer than their Marshall-branded equivalents.
Mitch Colby has devoted his life to working with Marshall Amplification and has spent a dozen years perfecting the Park range. He has taken the best existing circuits and carefully recreated the original sounds and tonal signature of Jim's early days. In addition, Mitch has designed 4 new amplifiers to carry on the spirit and incredible legacy of Jim Marshall and the Park Amplifiers.
