Presentation
The Park PMV800, or Park Master Volume from Hiwatt, is a tube head that made its mark on its era and continues to seduce guitarists looking for a faithful, modulable vintage sound. Inspired by Jim Marshall's early Master Volume, this amp offers a typical 80s sound, with clarity and dynamics, while providing the ability to sculpt your tone thanks to Mitch Colby's signature modifications. The addition of a bypassable effects loop makes it easy to integrate your pedals without altering the amp's character, and the High and Low inputs offer fine gain management for all situations.
The circuit is based on 2 EL34 output tubes and 3 12AX7 preamps, for a warm, classic British sound. The High input passes through four cascaded gain stages and the Low input has three, allowing you to adapt the level of saturation to your style, from crystal-clear sound to richer overdrives.
Master Volume combined with PrePIMV provides precise crunch control at low volumes, while Push-Pull knobs add either the original brightness or a low-mid and bass boost to complete the sonic spectrum to suit your needs.
The PMV800 isn't limited to its authentic vintage sound: it's been designed to adapt to modern set-ups. Its transparent effects loop lets you insert any processor or pedal, and its parallel speaker outputs make the amp easy to integrate in the studio or on stage. The solid construction, with black Tolex finish, guarantees a sober, elegant presence in all your set-ups.
Compact and lightweight for its power, it boasts a 50W rating (65W at full power) and 5-stage filtering to ensure a clear, controlled response, even at low frequencies. The 3-band EQ and Presence control complete the sound palette, offering a high degree of controllability.
The PMV800 is a complete head, capable of reproducing the rock sound of the 80s while remaining fully functional for the contemporary guitarist.

Jim Marshall is best known for running a shop where local musicians could meet, swap and try out equipment. He sold his amps worldwide under the Marshall brand, but in the UK he used the name Park Amplifiers. The shop served as a valuable testing ground for new products and kept Jim in touch with the exploding UK music scene. Park amps, often described as 'a bit hotter', are highly sought after in the UK as they are much rarer than their Marshall-branded equivalents.
Mitch Colby has devoted his life to working with Marshall Amplification and has spent a dozen years perfecting the Park range. He has taken the best existing circuits and carefully recreated the original sounds and tonal signature of Jim's early days. In addition, Mitch has designed 4 new amplifiers to carry on the spirit and incredible legacy of Jim Marshall and the Park Amplifiers.
