Hotone - FS-1 Ampero Switch

The Hotone FS-1 Ampero Switch dual footswitch is an accessory that gives you greater control over your Ampero processor without complicating your setup. If you’ve ever found yourself needing an extra control during a song, you’ll quickly see the benefit of this. Two footswitches can make a real difference when you need to react quickly whilst playing. Its compact design fits easily onto an already crowded pedalboard.

Once connected to the Ampero’s EXP 2/FS input using the supplied TRS cable, you can assign different functions to each switch. You can switch banks, select presets, enable or disable effects, start tap tempo or call up the tuner. Controlling the looper also becomes more convenient when your hands remain on the instrument. You can even control the drum machine directly with your foot on compatible devices.

The FS-1 isn’t limited to Hotone products. It also works with other equipment that accepts an external momentary footswitch. It uses momentary-type switches, specially adapted for digital processors that require a pulse rather than a continuous contact. This distinguishes it from the latching footswitches used on some amplifiers.

Its aluminium casing means it can withstand regular use in rehearsals and on stage. Measuring just 100 × 40 × 42 mm and weighing 130 g, it’s easy to carry in a gig bag or on a pedalboard.
