Hotone - NC-200 Verbera

The Hotone NC-200 Verbera convolution reverb pedal brings convolution technology to a format designed for the pedalboard. It comes with 120 impulse responses sourced from real-world locations such as cathedrals, concert halls and industrial spaces, alongside original creations developed by Hotone. You’ll also find reverbs inspired by classic spring and plate reverb models. You have a varied library at your disposal to explore a wide range of soundscapes.

The Dual Reverb engine combines convolution reverb with an XR algorithmic engine to layer multiple ambience layers. You can adjust parameters such as Attack, pitch, Pre-delay or modulation to fine-tune each soundscape. The Freeze function allows you to freeze the XR reverb to create evolving textures as you play. Reverb tails can reach up to 20 seconds in mono, with instant IR loading and low latency.

The Verbera also allows you to clone the reverb from other devices to create your own impulse responses directly within the pedal. It can store up to 1,024 user IRs and save 200 presets. The built-in sorting function makes it easy to navigate a large library of IRs using various criteria. The Neon Collector software simplifies the import of WAV files, preset management and firmware updates from a computer.

32-bit audio conversion, the Analog Dry Thru circuit and 32-bit DSP processing preserve the original signal whilst applying reverb effects. Stereo inputs and outputs, MIDI connections and an expression pedal allow for easy integration into a live or studio setup. The two footswitches provide access to preset changes, bypass or the Freeze function, depending on the selected mode. Measuring 125.5 × 84 × 62.5 mm and weighing just 485 g, the Verbera fits easily onto your pedalboard!
