The Ibanez R&D luthier teams have the motto: Always more! And they prove it with the Advanced Acoustic series, designed to push the boundaries of Folk guitar conventions.

This example is a perfect demonstration thanks to a Grand Dreadnought cutout (among other things) meaning that its body is 5% wider than its Dreadnought sisters. The objective of this modification is to obtain more power, more volume, more bass, while incorporating proven violin making elements such as an Okoumé back and sides topped with a massive Sitka Spruce top. .

More volume and shine too, thanks to the X-M type barriers adding their precision and controlled air projection.

Even more playing comfort also thanks to a super comfortable, slightly ovalized “C” neck, adapting to all hand types and ideal for the most technical players. The edge of the frets is finished by hand guaranteeing play without snags, and more comfort when pressing on the Ovangkol fingerboard.

The electronics are not left out, and even if the AP11 microphone and Ibanez Custom preamp assembly seems light, it is in reality terribly effective.
