Yamaha - FG820L NT II
Left-handed Folk guitar with solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, scalloped X-bracing for extra volume and bass. A unique character with a little more volume, a little more bass and a little more punch than the previous FG700 range, which was already a benchmark model, particularly for teachers, conservatories and music schools. Natural colour.
Presentation
The solid spruce top gives this guitar a clear, precise sound, while still being capable of producing high volumes.
The mahogany back and sides complement the spruce top perfectly, adding warmth and depth to the overall sound.
The Nato neck is comfortable and easy to play, making the FG820L suitable for beginners and experienced players alike.
The walnut fingerboard offers a smooth feel and great responsiveness, allowing for a wide variety of playing styles.
The 43mm nut ensures comfortable string spacing, while the 650mm scale provides ideal string tension for a balanced sound. The body depth of 100 - 118mm ensures impressive volume and rich tone.
Die-Cast Chrome tuning machines ensure excellent tuning stability, while the rosewood bridge provides excellent transmission of string vibrations to the soundhole.
The FG820L is part of Yamaha's FG800 series, which replaces the popular FG700 series and includes 20 new models, all with massive tops and scalloped X-bracing for even more power and deeper bass.
Like all the instruments in this series, the FG820L is built to last and to accompany you for many years to come.
With its classic aesthetic and natural finish, the Yamaha FG820L is a versatile, high-quality instrument suitable for all kinds of left-handed musicians.

To find out more...
The FG800 models (replacing the FG700 series) offer a massive soundboard on all models, more volume, more projection and more presence in the lower end of the spectrum. What's more, the new scalloped X-bracing moves the resonance to the centre of the guitar, with considerable impact for the guitarist.
The FG800 series models have been developed in response to feedback from many professional guitarists and dealers. Yamaha found that many things didn't need to be touched - but there was one recurring comment: Everyone wanted the unique character of the FG180 with just a little more volume, a little more bass and a little more punch.
To achieve this goal, Yamaha relied on powerful software capable of analysing and simulating the tonal characteristics of this legendary guitar. In this way, they were able to understand exactly how the bracing affected overall volume, projection, inertia and, more generally, what gave it its unique character, and modify it to suit the demands of guitarists.
The body depth of the FS models (90-110mm) is slightly shallower than that of the 700 series models (100-120mm), providing greater comfort, especially for beginners.
