Ibanez - RG550-GRF Grey Metallic Flat

The Ibanez RG550-GRF Grey Metallic Flat is based on a precise design, crafted to meet the expectations of guitarists seeking a Japanese-made electric guitar. Its basswood body and bolt-on neck form a tried-and-tested foundation, suited to an energetic playing style. The Grey Metallic Flat matt finish offers a understated yet striking aesthetic, in keeping with its musical character.

The 5-piece maple and walnut Super Wizard neck promotes a smooth playing feel thanks to its flat C-profile. Its maple fingerboard, 430 mm radius and 24 jumbo frets facilitate rapid movement up and down the neck. For fans of electric guitars with slim necks for technical solos, this configuration is well worth considering.

The RG550’s HSH configuration combines three passive pickups: V7 ceramic humbuckers at the neck and V8 at the bridge, with a single-coil S1 with an Alnico magnet in the middle. The 5-position switch offers a range of combinations, with tones ranging from clean sounds to more aggressive overdrive.

The Ibanez Genesis Collection is aimed at musicians who value instruments designed for precision playing and tonal versatility. The RG silhouette, 24 frets and HSH configuration form a solid foundation for instrumental rock, melodic metal or fusion passages. Its design remains true to a performance-oriented approach, without compromising visual balance.

The Edge vibrato system facilitates precise pitch variations whilst maintaining tuning stability. Its fine-tuning mechanism supports bending effects, from subtle nuances to more pronounced bends. This gives you an expressive range suited to melodic solos, energetic riffs and the signature effects of instrumental rock.
