Ibanez - RG550-WHF White Flat
The Ibanez RG550-WHF White Flat guitar boasts a sleek RG silhouette, finished in a matt white that exudes elegance without compromising its rock spirit. Part of the Genesis Collection, it revives the spirit of the brand’s historic Japanese models. Its slim neck facilitates rapid fingerwork across the fretboard, whilst its pickup configuration opens the door to a wide range of tones. An electric guitar with a strong character, ready to make the strings sing.
Presentation
The Genesis Collection revives a historic design from the RG series, with a Super Wizard neck in maple and walnut featuring a flat C-shaped profile, designed to facilitate movement along the entire 648 mm scale length. The rosewood fingerboard, with its 430 mm radius and black inlays, supports position changes and technical passages without hindering the player’s movement.
On the electronics front, the V7 and S1 ceramic humbuckers deliver a rich, full-bodied sound, complemented by the more incisive character of the V8 single-coil pickup at the bridge position. The 5-way selector switch allows you to explore combinations of bright tones and more biting timbres. If you’re looking for an expressive range for rock, hard rock and more aggressive styles, without limiting your playing to a single tone, this HSH configuration will suit you perfectly.
The Edge floating bridge enhances vibrato effects, with precise intonation adjustment and good tuning stability. Gotoh tuning machines round off this precision-oriented design. The combination of these elements makes the RG550 a guitar well-suited to playing techniques that place high demands on string accuracy.
