JBL Pro - Control 89MS
JBL Professional Control 89MS Whether in driving rain or blazing sunshine, the JBL Control 89MS subwoofer stays right where it’s supposed to be. Featuring a 200 mm long-excursion driver, a 70 V / 100 V multi-tap transformer and an IP56 rating, this outdoor solution is in stock now.
Presentation
The 200 mm long-excursion driver, featuring an injection-moulded polypropylene cone and a corrosion-resistant TPV surround, withstands climatic variations without faltering. The 50 mm voice coil, mounted on a fibreglass and polyamide frame, withstands prolonged heat build-up. The 70 V / 100 V multi-tap transformer, with taps ranging from 10 to 80 W, can be adjusted to suit the system’s power requirements.
When driven directly at 8 ohms, the enclosure can handle 300 W continuously for 2 hours, with a peak SPL of 115 dB. Its omnidirectional dispersion, with a Q-factor of 2.0, covers the space without requiring specific orientation.
The LDPE polyethylene enclosure, mass-coloured in forest green (RAL 6018), withstands impacts without showing visible damage. The powder-coated stainless steel grille further enhances its corrosion resistance. The bare cable terminals, filled with dielectric gel and housed in a central IP56-rated waterproof wiring compartment, prevent moisture ingress. The UL94V-HB flammability rating meets safety standards for prolonged outdoor use.
