The M2 Master Reference studio listening system, excellence in terms of precision and dynamics. This freestanding 2-way speaker can be placed in any environment.
This high-performance monitoring system is the result of the combination of 3 technologies patented by JBL:
1- The D2 dual-coil compression chamber motor reproduces high frequencies up to 40 kHz with an extremely low level of distortion.
2- The 2216Nd woofer is designed to handle low frequencies down to 20 Hz with optimum efficiency. This means you don't need a subwoofer.
3- The Image Control waveguide is a unique system, a technological marvel specially designed for the D2 engine. The transients are precise and provide an extremely fine, coherent sound image with a very wide sweet spot.
These innovations give you the option of staying with a two-way system, solving the space problem for studios that can't fit much larger 3-way systems, or even in-wall and custom-built systems. With the JBL M2, you can offer something better than the classic proximity listening found in the usual compo/prod control rooms.
