Latin Percussion was founded in 1964 in New York by Martin Cohen because he had difficulty obtaining musical instruments, partly because of import restrictions on Cuba following the 1962 missile crisis. Unable to buy congas, bongos and others, so he made them himself! After a few unsuccessful attempts, he began to create good instruments, to establish himself on the market and then to become one of the leaders! He even became an exporter so much his product catalog became known throughout the world!
Latin Percussion, also known as LP, is a brand of musical instruments specializing in ethnic instruments, especially acoustic, of the percussion type. They are built with the aim of withstanding the rigors of intensive use, on a drum kit, in an orchestra or other application. There is a real desire to innovate and to bring musicians something extra to their playing, without losing the sensations.
