Hand Percussion
The Latin Percussion P452 Multi Guiro combines 2 distinct playing surfaces for a variety of grains without the headache! The stainless steel body is filled with balls that act like a shaker when you move the instrument. The LP335 comb supplied with the instrument lets you get clean attacks, whether fine or raspy, depending on which side you choose.

Presentation
The Latin Percussion P452 Multi Guiro features a stainless steel body that stands up to anything, while remaining comfortable to hold.
The 9" size and 7 cm diameter fall naturally to the fingertips, helping to keep the gesture fluid on stage or in rehearsal. The internal steel ball filling acts as a shaker, making it easy to punctuate a rhythmic phrase without changing instruments.
One side has deep grooves that give it a rough, Cuban guiro-like grain. The other side has a finer texture, useful for shorter strokes and a less aggressive sound. This dual personality means you can switch from dry to more airy playing with a simple flick of the wrist.
The LP335 Torpedo Scraper comes with a precise grip that highlights the 2 textures. It's a small, versatile accessory that slips easily into a bag and is just as useful in the studio as it is on a live set!

To find out more...
Latin Percussion was founded in 1964 in New York by Martin Cohen, who found it difficult to source musical instruments, partly because of import restrictions on Cuba following the 1962 missile crisis. It was impossible to buy congas, bongos and the like, so he made them himself! After a few unsuccessful attempts, he began to create good instruments, to establish himself on the market and then to become one of the leaders! He even became an exporter, so well known was his catalogue of products around the world!
Latin Percussion, also known as LP, is a brand of musical instruments specialising in ethnic percussion instruments. They are built to withstand the rigours of intensive use, on a drum kit, in an orchestra or other application. There's a real desire to innovate and give musicians something extra to play with, without losing any of the sensations.
