Presentation
When you switch to a 9-string guitar, the first question is often: is it still playable? On this white Legator Ninja Super Shred, everything has been designed to ensure that the instrument remains comfortable despite its wide range. The multi-scale design, with a pitch range from 28.5" to 30", balances the tension between the strings. As a result, the bass remains clean and defined, while the treble feels more supple under the fingers.
The wenge and maple neck provides good stability and a fluid feel, especially if you're playing fast or with a lot of precision. The Richlite fingerboard, with its progressive radius from 14" to 16", naturally follows the hand: rounder on the chord side, flatter when you go up for solos. The jumbo stainless steel frets also contribute to this comfort, with a consistent feel that lasts over time.
In terms of sound, the Fishman Fluence Modern gives you access to several voicings via the push/pull function. You can go from a tight, cutting rendition to something more organic depending on the context. The killswitch adds an extra creative option, especially if you like working with rhythmic effects.
The mahogany body with flamed maple top maintains a good balance between weight and resonance. It's a guitar that's clearly aimed at players who want to go further in low tunings, without fighting with their instrument at every technical passage.
