The horn is a wind instrument made of copper. It is characterized by a thin-walled tube and narrow bore, a flared bell mouth and a funnel-shaped. Its pallets, similar to the pistons of the trumpet, used to play notes faster, easier than with paper clip. In addition to its technical qualities enabling it nowadays surprising virtuosity, he has access to a vast expressive field. Its sound can be colored in all ways as it plays open (natural sound), blocked with his hand in the pavilion, with brassy sounds or mute. Indeed, the horn being bulky hand must be inserted in the pavilion, which also allows to play on the air flow.
