Presentation
The Lexicon LXP Native Reverb Bundle brings some of the expertise that has helped make Lexicon a benchmark in the field of reverb into the software environment. The bundle brings together four complementary algorithms — Room, Hall, Plate and Chamber — covering everything from everyday music production needs to more creative processing.
In a mix, reverb isn’t just used to give the impression that an instrument is in a room. It can also alter the perception of distance, create a sense of depth, add volume to a vocal, or help several elements find their place within the same acoustic space. A vocal track recorded very close to the microphone can thus be integrated into a believable ambience, whilst a pad or a guitar can be deliberately pushed further back in the soundstage.
The LXP Native makes this task easier thanks to an interface that brings together the key parameters of each algorithm and a graphical display allowing you to observe various reverb characteristics in real time. The reverb tail, its frequency content and even its impulse response can thus be visualised whilst making adjustments.
The more than 220 studio presets also provide a handy starting point when you need to quickly find a suitable ambience for a sound source. A preset can then be modified, compared with its original setting, and saved.
Compatible with the main plug-in formats and both Windows and macOS environments, the bundle fits naturally into a music project, a post-production session or sound design work.
