Electric Guitar Effects

A pedal designed to meet the compression requirements of guitarists and bassists, it has an extremely low noise figure and a large input headroom, giving it minimum noise and distortion for a wide variety of input signals. This model uses the same components as the hand-assembled model, but is assembled in series to reduce its final cost.

Its Compressor/Sustain switch lets you use it as a classic compressor or as a sustainer.
In sustain mode, it's very dynamic, responds very well to touch and, of course, offers plenty of sustain. With no loss of attack, it's great for blues players and perfect for slide.

The Level setting in Compressor mode affects the overall volume, allowing the pedal to be used as a booster. In Sustain mode, this setting no longer affects the overall volume but the sustain level.

The Compr. setting determines compression and sustain.
At a low setting it will act on the peaks, at a high setting the response to touch will be weaker, at a maximum setting the output will be highly compressed while retaining clarity and virtually infinite sustain.

Electric Blue II Chorus / Vibrato controls :

LEVEL: In Compressor mode adjusts the overall volume and the FGC can even be used as a booster.
In Sustain mode, the level no longer adjusts the total output but the level of the sustained part.

COMPR. sets the level of compression and sustain.
Lower settings give mainly peak limiting, higher settings more compression and a less touch-sensitive response.
At maximum, the output will be heavily compressed, while retaining clarity at almost infinite sustain.
A good starting point for this control is a little below centre (ten o'clock) with most guitars.

Tone: the tone control on FGC is designed to fine-tune the compressed sound for the most transparent tone and effect: turn to the left for full compression and set to noon for a tighter sound with a little less bottom end and turn all the way to the right to reduce the treble slightly .

Switch COMPRESSOR/SUSTAIN: Attack and decay times are carefully fine-tuned internally for fast attack and slow decay.
When set for Sustain, the attack is preserved, resulting in a dynamic feel and ease of play, as the FGC amplifies the decay and weaker parts.
For standard compression, set the mode switch to Compressor.
