To find out more...
Marcus Miller is regarded as one of the most influential bassists of his generation. His playing combines virtuosity, musicality and exceptional groove. He became particularly famous after his collaboration with Miles Davis in the 1980s. Marcus composed several important pieces for Davis, including those on the album Tutu, often cited as one of the great classics of modern jazz. In concert, he alternates between electric bass, bass clarinet and occasional vocals. He is also a UNESCO ambassador for peace and takes part in cultural projects in Africa. His world tours attract a passionate following of jazz, funk and contemporary soul everywhere.
