The Markbass Little Mark Rocker 58R bass amp head is for those looking for more bite. Weighing in at just 2kg, it features a full overdrive section and a reworked EQ. All controlled from a clear front panel, with direct choices and no hidden menus.
The transistor preamp works with finesse or saturation. Two types of drive coexist: Type 1 for vintage warmth, Type 2 for a drier attack. The Blend control mixes clean signal and saturation. You can adjust the intensity without losing the basis of your sound.
In terms of equalisation, the Rocker 58R features a precise 4-band with well-chosen frequency points. LOW at 68 Hz for deep bass. MID HIGH at 800 Hz for growl. Three profiles are available via a selector: OLD, CUT, and a neutral mode. Everything can be toggled using an external footswitch.
It delivers 500 W at 4 ohms and 300 W at 8 ohms. The balanced XLR output has a dedicated level, a PRE/POST EQ switch and a ground lift. The effects loop, rear speaker outputs and tidy front panel make for a clear configuration, even on stage.
