The Martin Audio Torus T820W is a 2-way passive loudspeaker designed to build easy-to-deploy constant curvature systems. It is designed for configurations where a line array is not necessary, but where regular coverage remains essential. In practice, it can be used alone as a source point or assembled in a cluster to cover an area evenly.

The system is based on a 20cm neodymium loudspeaker with a 5cm coil, combined with two compression drivers with a 2.5cm output and 3.5cm coil. This configuration ensures that vocals and instruments retain good definition, even when the volume level rises. The phase plug placed in front of the speaker improves midrange sensitivity, helping to maintain a clear presence in the mix.

The dispersion of 100° horizontally and 20° vertically means that several speakers can be stacked without any imbalance between the front and rear of the listening area. This behaviour is particularly useful in theatres, conferences and corporate events, where each zone must remain intelligible without excessive correction.

The multi-ply wood cabinet with white textured finish can withstand the rigours of installation and transportation. The steel grille across the front protects the components while maintaining a discreet visual appearance. The integrated handles simplify handling, and the integrated rigging system enables vertical or horizontal arrays to be mounted quickly.

With dimensions of 500 mm x 257 mm x 320 mm and a weight of 14 kg, it is easy to install, even in temporary configurations. The integrated fixings also enable it to be mast-mounted, expanding the possibilities for mobile services.

On the connection side, two NL4 sockets are available with pin selection, enabling cabling to be adapted to suit the system used. The loudspeaker works with external amplification and processing, notably the brand's iKON solutions, which enable precise control via software.

In the field, it can be used as a main front on small and medium-sized stages, as a central cluster in rooms with high ceilings, or as a complement in larger systems. It can also be combined with subwoofers to reinforce the lower end of the spectrum, depending on the application.

For a compact system with clean, predictable coverage, this loudspeaker remains a coherent choice whenever simplicity of installation and controlled diffusion are required.
