An electro-acoustic folk guitar, the SC-13E Special stands out from the classic Martin & Co production on several counts: Firstly, its shape: the slight asymmetry of the body ensures perfect overall ergonomics, and the inlay of the neck into the body is preceded by a deep cutaway and a special cutout in the heel, ensuring that you can play the highest frets without worry. The asymmetrical ribs position the instrument naturally very close to its point of gravity on the knee when played seated, thus cancelling out most of the effort that the right arm usually makes to hold the instrument against the body. Finally, the beauty and quality of the woods chosen. While the top is made from solid spruce, which is still fairly classic, the sides and back are made from Ziricote, a highly figured Central American wood renowned for its beautiful grain.

With its patented Sure Align neck system that gives you full access to all frets, you'll be able to reach the highest notes comfortably.
It's also equipped with a new slim, high-velocity neck shape that ergonomically adapts to your hand as you move up towards the body, giving you the comfort and playability of an electric.
This special edition SC-13E features a high-gloss spruce top, fine ziricote veneer back and sides, and an ebony headplate, bridge and fingerboard with ring inlay.
An aesthetic bonus is the open action with skeleton key buttons.
