Guitar Strings

Constructed from phosphor bronze with the patented Lifespan treatment to resist corrosion, the Martin Era MJI12T 'Artist Light' 12-54 offer long-lasting reliability and silk-wrapped tips for instruments with a vintage character. Developed in collaboration with Jason Isbell, they adopt a more traditional SP core to capture his signature sound, meeting the expectations of guitarists who aim for a consistent, authentic tone. The 12-54 range balances clarity and playing comfort, with vintage-inspired finishes and a performance- and durability-oriented design, ideal for both stage and studio.

ARTICLE N° 115152
Jason Isbell's signature Martin Era MJI12T (12-54) strings combine tradition and innovation for long-lasting, expressive playing. Designed with a phosphor bronze thread treated with Martin's Lifespan® process, they resist corrosion while retaining their warmth and clarity.

With an Artist Light draw (0.012 - 0.054) and a tension of 168.5, they offer an excellent balance between playing comfort and sound projection.

The traditional SP core provides the stability and dynamic response that Jason Isbell is looking for, particularly suited to his folk-rock style. The Flexible Core architecture improves playability and reduces hand fatigue, without compromising tonal richness.

Finally, the ball tips are wrapped in red silk, an elegant yet protective detail for your bridge, particularly useful on vintage instruments. These strings are perfect for both strumming and fingerstyle, and are equally at home in the studio or on stage.
