Mipro - ACT-80

The ACT-80 receiver from MIPRO has been designed to combine compactness, robustness and audio performance. Its magnesium alloy and fibreglass-reinforced plastic casing gives it the strength required for field applications, while retaining an ultra-compact, lightweight format.

This model operates in the UHF band 470 - 937 MHz (depending on region), with a bandwidth of 64 MHz allowing a wide choice of frequencies without interference. It implements true diversity technology with dual antennas for reliable reception, and benefits from optimised RF circuitry that improves immunity to interference. ACT™ synchronisation ensures fast and accurate pairing with compatible ACT-8 series transmitters.

On-board digital processing eliminates the artefacts and compander noise of analogue systems. This results in sound quality comparable to a wired link, with 24-bit / 44.1 kHz sampling, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and less than 0.03% harmonic distortion. Latency is kept under 3 ms, while the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 108 dB(A). For greater confidentiality, the transmission incorporates proprietary 256-bit encryption.

The ACT-80 has a backlit LCD screen displaying all the essential information and simple navigation via three buttons. Connectors include a 3.5 mm mini-jack stereo headphone output and a 3.5 mm unbalanced analogue output. The device runs on two AA batteries, providing around 7.5 hours of autonomy. Compact (63 × 82 × 23 mm) and lightweight (92 g), it fits perfectly into mobile and broadcast configurations.
