Its calibrated metal architecture - 3.683 mm for frets 1-12, 3.18 mm for frets larger than that - hugs the curves of the Les Paul, ES-335 and SG models. The 0.20 mm thick steel provides an impenetrable barrier against abrasion.
The lowered edges and bevelled profile ensure a stable hold during work. The integrated elastic system neutralises any parasitic movement during capping or sanding. You get full protection without affecting access to the frets.
