The Neutrik NC5FXX is a 5-pin female XLR connector that updates the recognised standards of the XLR X series. Designed to be more robust, easy to assemble and precise, it meets the needs of musicians, technicians and sound engineers who demand quality and longevity.
This connector features a single-cage female contact for low resistance and excellent signal integrity. The integrated solder barrier prevents solder from flowing into the contact area, ensuring a clean connection every time. The solid metal latch is wider and easier to handle, making it easier to insert and remove, while additional earth contacts reinforce the electrical continuity of the shell.
To protect the cable, the NC5FXX uses an improved 'chuck' cable clamp and a polyurethane sleeve that limits bending stress. The nickel-plated die-cast zinc shell provides effective protection against impact and wear, while the polyamide insert ensures reliable insulation. Coloured rings and boots can be added for quick identification of cables on stage or in a rack.
Compatible with cables from 3.5 to 8 mm in diameter and wires up to 1 mm² / AWG 18, the NC5FXX guarantees a stable, reliable audio signal, while remaining ergonomic and easy to handle.
