Neutrik NE8FDX-Y6-B panel connector in D-shape format, designed to integrate a shielded CAT6A network link into professional audio, video and lighting installations. Compatible with the etherCON CAT5 range, it secures data transmission while protecting the signal from interference thanks to its shielded system and robust locking. In a modern rack, network cabinet or stage installation, data flow must remain stable, clean and reliable. The Neutrik NE8FDX-Y6-B panel connector does just that. This D-shape model integrates easily into many professional panels and interfaces, with a construction designed for environments where equipment is handled regularly.
This shielded CAT6A female connector uses IDC termination, a system that simplifies wiring while guaranteeing solid contact with the conductors. It accepts wires from AWG 26 to AWG 22, in solid or stranded versions, leaving plenty of scope for integration into different types of network installations. Once in place, the latch system holds the connection firmly, a mechanism tried and tested on millions of etherCON connectors used in audio, lighting or technical infrastructures.
The connector's shielding plays an essential role in electrically charged environments. Thanks to its EMI-protected design, the signal remains clean, even in the vicinity of powerful equipment on stage or in the control room. Transmission meets CAT6A / Class EA requirements, in compliance with TIA/EIA 568C and ISO/IEC 11801 standards, guaranteeing bandwidth suitable for high-speed networks and audio-video over IP systems.
The die-cast zinc housing with black KTL finish provides excellent mechanical strength. Designed to exceed 1,000 connection cycles, this connector easily supports mobile installations or technical infrastructures subject to daily use.
Finally, the NE8FDX-Y6-B supports Power over Ethernet PoE type 3 class 6 (up to 60 W) in accordance with the IEEE 802.3bt standard, enabling certain equipment to be powered directly via the network cable. A practical solution in modern installations where data and power run on the same line.
