NS Design - Pied ergonomique/end pin violoncelle

Traditional knee contact and traditional chest contact are the two sensory references that the cellist's body has integrated over years of practice. The NS Design CRCEPS restores them without deviation: the instrument finds its usual pressure against the sternum and the familiar support on the knees, so that the posture does not change - only the floor disappears under the endpin.

The adjustable height of the stand repositions the vertical axis of the instrument to suit the player, without constricting the right elbow or closing the left shoulder. The adjustable knee rest position further refines this centring, by moving the contact point to the front or back of the knee to distribute the load over the thigh rather than the joint. The adjustable instrument angle completes the picture by orienting the soundboard towards the bow at the same angle as on a conventional practice bench.

The CRCEPS is designed for sitting cellists who don't want to change their playing technique when switching to a NS Design instrument. All the adjustments converge towards a single objective: to reproduce exactly the body geometry acquired on a traditional peaked acoustic cello.
