The R18 µm spherical diamond on board this cartridge tolerates slightly tired or imperfectly centred vinyl records without flinching. Its flexible playback profile avoids tracking errors and limits premature groove wear. For everyday, relaxed but demanding listening, it's an invaluable asset.
In terms of sound, the Concorde 5S delivers an output voltage of 4 mV and covers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, i.e. the entire audible spectrum. The four coils coupled to an aluminium cantilever ensure balanced reproduction, with a beautiful stereo effect and natural, distortion-free spatialisation.
