As soon as you lay eyes on this Pearl Decade Maple DMP926SC-227 kit, you know you're dealing with a battery that doesn't do things by halves. Its Satin Slate Black look is pleasing to the eye. This matte slate black gives it a sober, professional look that looks just as good in a concert hall as it does in a studio.
But it's what's under the paint that counts. And here, Pearl has done a great job. 100% maple drums, 6-ply, 5.4 mm thick, and 45° striking edges: this is serious stuff. Thanks to Superior Shell technology, the sound is rich, balanced and beautifully projected. Just what you're looking for in a rock guitar!
The set includes everything you need: 2 toms (10" and 12"), 2 bass toms (14" and 16"), a bass drum (22 "x18") and, icing on the cake, a matching 14 "x5.5" snare drum. That's rare at this price level, and it's really appreciated.
Everything is assembled using solid components: triple-flanged 1.6 mm hoops for impeccable tuning, sturdy NDL shells, OptiLoc mounting for the toms, and a mini-muffler in the bass drum for a controlled sound without tinkering.
