The Gretsch Catalina Maple Purple Gloss drum set comes in an eye-catching Purple Gloss colour that transforms your playing space into a real stage. The set includes 7-ply maple drums, a choice that gives natural warmth and openness in all registers. Each barrel is shaped with a 30° chamfer to help the headstock vibrate freely for a precise, clear sound.
The 3 toms of 8", 10" and 12" allow you to draw fast phrases with a fluid transition between each pitch. The 2 floor toms, 14" and 16", provide a solid low end and great depth when you want to support your grooves. The 22 "x16" bass drum responds with a pleasing punch that's just as suited to slow tempos as it is to more nervous patterns. The 14 "x6.5" snare adds a crisp snap that's easy to adjust thanks to the Full Range Throw Off trigger system.
The GTS mount on the toms limits contact with the body, allowing the resonance to express itself naturally. The 2.3 mm steel hoops stabilise tuning without stifling vibrations. The chrome hardware gives the kit a shiny, robust look, while remaining easy to handle. The pack includes a double tom holder and a clip for neatly installing the 8" tom.
